I’ve had the last year to gather my thoughts, reassess my priorities, and generally get some space.
I’ve been working more on my music (which is my main passion). You can check out my catalogue here, and especially my latest song If I’d Known, which is about working through the grief that accompanies coming out late in life. Please buy the song to help support my work!
Silent Gays is now going to be very much focused on supporting those who are questioning and deconstructing their religious beliefs. Although I’ve always had this front and centre, I also provided a lot of resources around the nature of sexuality and gender, often going on tangents that were definitely helpful but were really just duplicating work that so many others are providing.
I’ll also be providing more support on neurodiversity, as it’s become clear that so many of us are affected by this, often without realising it.
As a result, the website is now much cleaner, with a simple focus.
I’m also training as a group leader with Recovering from Religion, who already have a long-running and experienced support service to help anyone. Although not specifically LGBTI+ they are 100% affirming, and probably about half of their clients are Rainbow anyway!
Check out their website for details – they do incredible work.
